Here is how Clarisonic describes its Smart Profile brush, and what it claims to do:

For years, I wanted to invest in a Clarisonic. I wanted a new facial brush and I wanted something to try to use on my body as well. I have been using the Olay cleansing brush for a couple of years now. It is a great starter brush and a cheaper option for the time being while I decided if I wanted to spend the money on a Clarisonic. The end of 2016, I decided to go ahead and splurge on getting the Clarisonic. I had a lot of loyalty points at Ulta and was able to get it for free. I had to charge it for a full 24 hours before using it, but it remained charged there on out and I never had to charge it. The first day I was able to use it, I was very excited and didn’t know what to expect. The brush is very powerful and intense; it literally left my face pulsating.  My skin felt rejuvenated, and I could see that it removed all my dead skin to reveal baby soft skin. I loved the result because I never had a clean like that before. I continued to use it every day until I saw my skin becoming irritated. I cut down on my usage to every other day, but at this point, acne started to show more and more. I never had that problem with using the basic Olay brush, so I concluded that the Clarisonic brush was way too harsh for my skin. I never considered my skin too sensitive for Clarisonic, which is why I wanted to buy it. I may try their older versions (Mia 1 or Mia 2) to see if my skin reacts differently. Not only did I buy the brush for my face but also for my body. I tried using it for my body, specifically my back. I found it very hard to really reach a lot of areas (I should’ve thought about that before). If you don’t have someone scrubbing your back for you, the Clarisonic is useless for the back. It doesn’t have an extended arm to reach those areas. The main reason I wanted the Smart Profile brush was because it had a body brush option, not realizing that it wasn’t the most convenient option for the body.

Ratings and Comments:
A great brush for someone who can handle intensive exfoliating. I definitely do not recommend this for someone with sensitive skin. If you were considering to buy the Smart Profile because of the body brush option, I wouldn’t recommend getting it. Being that I did return it, I do not think it was worth the money. Even if I did like it, the price could be cheaper.

I give this product a 3 out of 5. I did like the potential abilities of the brush, and how well it did do my skin before my skin reacted. I believe it’s a bit too intense and way too expensive.
