March was the month of the unexpected, some good and bad. My dad almost died and I got a job, finally! Although March was full of ups and downs, I managed to get some favorites out of it.

At the end of February into March, my dad got extremely sick. He was in the hospital for about a week and was transferred to New Orleans to get the best care there. Surprisingly, I am about 4 hours away from New Orleans and never have been. I have traveled a lot of places, but I have never visited New Orleans. I was excited to visit the area but sad under the circumstances. I wasn’t able to explore the city much, but I did get to see the French Quarter when we were searching for food. I was observing everything and taking it in as I could. It was so much I seen that I wanted to do! I do plan to make a trip for pleasure very soon!

Get Out was the biggest movie of the month. Everyone who understood it for what it was made for really loved the movie. And you had some who didn’t understand the hype because they couldn’t logically interpret what the movie was about. I absolutely loved the ironic symbolism that the movie represented. The representation of each little detail gets more interesting the more you watch the movie. I went to the movies to see it with a friend the first time, and my mom wanted to go, so I went with her as well. After seeing it once, I saw things differently than I did when I saw it the first time. Certain actions made more sense, and my mind processed it differently. It is easily one of my favorite movies of all time because of its ability to make you think and wrap your head around how relevant it is today. I really suggest anyone who have reservations about the movie or just haven’t seen it yet to go see it.

L’Oreal Pure Clay Detox & Brighten Clay Mask was a life saver this month! This is my favorite because of the way my skin looks after using. Pores appear smaller or not visible. Pimples are smaller as well. I have a review of this mask already published, click the link above to read!

Maui Moisture Heal + Hydrate Shea Butter Hair Mask was so good to my hair during this month! I was struggling with a little more shedding and breakage and my hair felt incredibly dry most of the time. I love the consistency of this deep conditioner because it’s silky and a little more watery than most deep conditioners. I have a review about this deep conditioner, click the link above to read!

I think everyone was hype about Girl Scout Cookies this month! I started this new plan to try and gain weight. I was eating a box of cookies a day almost! My favorites are the Shortbread/Trefoils. I had ate all my boxes up and started eating my mom’s Caramel deLites/Samoas. I don’t like actual coconut, but the coconut on those cookies don’t bother me at all.

After looking and waiting for almost 3 months, I finally got hired! I was so relieved and excited about my new position as Marketing Coordinator! For those who don’t know, I gained a Bachelors of Business Administration with concentrations in Marketing, Management, & Business Law. Marketing was definitely one of my favorites while in college. My position now works with casino marketing. The casino market is very fast pace and competitive, but it is never boring. I’ve liked it so far, and it has motived me so much this month!
