How it claims to work:

Prevents breakouts and helps clear up blemishes.

This unique, skin-nourishing daily moisturizer harnesses the power of ACTIVE NATURALS® Total Soy Complex and salicylic acid to help clear up blemishes and improve the health of your complexion. This oil-free formula, with a proven acne-fighting ingredient, clears and helps prevent breakouts, and helps even out skin tone. Oil free, hypoallergenic, noncomedogenic, and gentle enough to use every day. (Source: aveeno.com)

When I first used this moisturizer, I did not like it. My skin has changed so much since I first tried it. I struggled with dry skin for so long and I need a good moisturizer. I used Clinique Dramatically Different Lotion for years and it worked great for me. At first, this moisturizer didn’t do that for me. My skin was still very dry. So if you do have drier skin, I don’t recommend you use this; it probably won’t moisturize your skin like you need it to. Since my skin has transformed unto more of a combination-oily type now, the Clinique is too moisturizing for me.  I had this sitting in my cabinet, so I decided started back using this. This cuts any oil my face would normally have throughout the day and gives just enough moisture so it won’t be dry either. It is the perfect happy medium for someone who has combination skin or oily skin. As far as what it calms to do with preventing breakouts, I can’t attest to that. I have not seen a significant difference in my skin within that department from just using this product. I have noticed this helps with my oily areas but moisturizes the drier parts of my face. I don’t completely like the price and can’t really say it is worth that price. But you may think 4 oz is nothing, but this is a product that doesn’t take much to do what it needs to do. A little goes a long way, so in that case it does save you money.

Ratings and Comments:

I love this product, but I don’t want to make it Holy Grail status, yet. Since it doesn’t really do what it says it does as far as preventing breakouts, I can’t exactly make it a Holy Grail.

I give this product a 5 out of 5.
