How it claims to work:
The Bio‑Oil formulation is a combination of plant extracts and vitamins suspended in an oil base. It contains the breakthrough ingredient PurCellin Oil™, which changes the formulation’s overall consistency, making it light and non-greasy. This ensures that the goodness contained in the vitamins and plant extracts is easily absorbed. While helping to improve the appearance of scars, stretch marks, uneven skin tones, aging skin, and dehydrated skin. (Source: bio-oilusa.com)
The first few days I saw results with this product. I was so excited because reviews had said it is fast working at disappearing marks. I did genuinely believe I seen marks fade that I struggled to get rid of for years. After time, I think my skin got use to it or it faded all it could because I felt like it no longer did a good of a job like at the beginning. Another disadvantage is that it is an oil. If you have oily skin, you would have a love hate relationship with this product. It claims to be non-greasy, but I disagree. It also takes a while to absorb in the skin. I don’t know if I made the product not work by using a moisturizer that cuts oils in the skin after using this product (it could be a possibility). Since I didn’t change my routine at all while using this product, it should have continued to work.
Rating and Comments:
I wish the product had more consistency and wasn’t an oil. If I still had dry skin, I would love this product more but overall the consistency needs to be there. I may repurchase but have another dark mark corrector to use and alternate between the two so that my skin doesn’t get use to it.
I give this product a 3 out of 5.
