How it claims to work:
Eco Style Coconut Oil Styling Gel is made with 100% pure coconut oil. Coconut Oil helps your scalp naturally regulate its own moisturizing system. Coconut oil helps attract moisture to the scalp and holds in it. Like all our styling gels, it is weightless and will leave your hair with a healthy shine and superior hold (Source: ecocoinc.com)

Review:
I heard so much hype about ECO Styler’s new gels: Coconut and Black Castor & Flaxseed Oil. Being from a small town in Mississippi, we are always late getting things so I didn’t really bother looking around at my local beauty supply stores for it. And not to mention,  I had a huge tub of the Olive Oil that is still taking forever to finish. So, I really wasn’t trying to buy MORE gel. So what made me go ahead and buy it? I got tired of seeing everyone rave about how great it is. The coconut was the least talked about out of the newest gels. Naturalistas really raved about the Black Castor gel the most. After giving the Black Castor so much love, I decided to see how the coconut worked for me. I instantly felt a difference when I scooped some gel into my fingers. The gel was heavier. When I applied it to my hair, I felt like it did a great job of smoothing my hair out better than the Black Castor gel. I felt better about using this gel for styles that needed more smoothing, like a simple back bun style. I really do feel like it does reduce frizz, and that is a lot coming from someone who lives in one of the most humid areas in the US.

Ratings and Comments:
I think this is a great gel, and it definitely shines out from the Black Castor Oil gel. The only disadvantage is that I wish it had more hold, but I believe all ECO styling gels don’t have enough hold for me. I almost look for a crunch, but I definitely don’t get that from using this gel.

I give this product a 4 out of 5.
