Review:

I know a lot of you may be familiar with the Kinky-Curly brand. I know it from fellow bloggers and vloggers using the Curling Custard, I haven’t personally used it yet because I am waiting to become fully natural to try such a great curl definer. But I will talk about this detanger/leave-in conditioner.

For the product itself, I think its more a detanger than a leave-in conditioner. It has a very thick consistency to the point where sometimes I struggle to get it out the bottle. When I first tried it, I was new to using this type of leave-in. I was so use to spray leave-in conditioners. It does a great job detangling, especially when I was transitioning my hair. Transitioning hair tends to be hard to detangle because of the differences in textures. So I found it really hard to detangle when I don’t use a product that specialized in that. I previously used Miss Jessie’s Leave-in Condish, and I made a separate review on that product. I will say these products are fairly similar in consistency and results. It is pretty much fair game one to which I would repurchase. The smell is really clean and refreshing, great smell for freshly washed hair. If you are heavy handed with your products like me, I would be careful using this product. Although it does not flake, which is great but it will leave your hair feeling a little heavy. I would not use this if I decided to flat iron my hair or if I wanted to style my hair in a “light” style. It would be perfect for wash ‘n go’s.

Rating and Comments:

I was stuck in between 3.5 and 4 for the rating. It is not a bad product by no means, I just hate that it can leave your hair feeling heavy. This can also cause hair build up to accumulate even faster.

I give this product a 4 out of 5.
