Mixed Chicks Leave-In Conditioner
How it claims to work:
10 oz. of the curl-defining formula designed for us, and when we say, “us”, we mean many…even if you are not mixed, you may have frizz and unruly curls, right?
Tames frizz & defines curls
Works on many hair textures & weaves (synthetic or human).
I got this leave-in conditioner in a kit along with the shampoo, hair silk, and deep conditioner. I heard about the leave-in conditioner before, pretty good things. I had somewhat high intentions of this leave-in conditioner. I tried it with a wash and go along with my regular oils: coconut and olive oils. The definition was okay for my liking, nothing too exciting. I also would recommend using this with a moisturizing cream. This leave-in is no way helpful for moisture; it’s more of a gel styler than a leave-in conditioner. I am familiar with leave-in conditioners being moisturizing and have gel styler qualities, but this could replace your regular gel styler in your routine. I actually prefer not to use this alone for my hair. I rather a cream moisturizing to pair with; it gives more definition and the leave-in works well as a sealant. The leave-in also gives a lot more hold than most stylers. There will be a crunch to your hair after it dries, but it’s not a huge deal. I also think that extra hold protects against frizz better.
Ratings and Comments:
This product isn’t an all-in-one product. I find better results when pairing it with a cream moisturizer and using this as a sealant to provide more definition and hold to the hair. I think it works better on 2c-3c hair types because of the elongated curls, opposed to tighter coiled hair types.
I give this product a 4 out of 5.
