How it claims to work:

Clear Pore Cleanser/Mask is a breakthrough acne-fighting formula that can be used two ways—as a daily cleanser or as a mask.

This dermatologist-tested formula has the acne-fighting power of Benzoyl Peroxide to kill bacteria and treat existing breakouts. Cooling intensity builds as it penetrates deep into pores. Use as a daily cleanser to kill bacteria. Or use as an intensive mask for deep cleansing and extra oil control. Clean rinsing—skin is left clean and smooth.

Review:
This cleanser/mask has been around for years, and it’s one of Neutrogena’s classic products. I never was interested in trying it until someone I know personally raved about it. They loved the product and was a holy grail for their beauty regimen. I wanted to try it since I have a problem with large pores and oily skin. When applying the mask, you will notice it has a strong smell. It’s not overbearing but smells like astringent. The mask does tingle, but I love it because it feels like it is working. If you have sensitive skin, I would test it on a small area to see if you can bare the tingle before applying on larger areas. I normally leave the mask on while I shower or clean around the house, which change be from 15 to 30 mins. I would use it at your discretion. After removing, my pores appeared visibly gone or smaller. This mask isn’t really for breakouts, although it does shrink pimples that I pop. I haven’t noticed a reduction in breakouts by using this mask. I would only rely on this to shrink the appearance of pimples and pores.

Ratings and Comments:
I’ve bought several since I first tried it and I always can rely on this as a mask for my problematic pores.

I give this product a 5 out of 5.
