How it claims to work:

Humidity: It’s every curl’s nightmare. That’s because curly hair’s unique structure exposes its cuticle. When humidity gets in, curls expand with unwanted volume and look frizzy, undefined, and dull. Our Advanced Climate Control® Featherlight Styling Cream defines curls and defends against frizz with ultra-light and pillow-soft hold. A special blend of lightweight humectants and natural oils (Meadowfoam Seed, Olive, and Soybean) nourishes hair while flexible styling polymers weightlessly define curls. Anti-Frizz Nano Technology with Sericin, a protein derived from silk, seals the cuticle to form a barrier that locks in moisture and locks out humidity. A dedicated UV filter helps protect against damage from environmental aggressors. The results: Soft, no-feel hold that won’t weigh your hair down. Frizz-free, consistently defined curls that last—in any climate.

Review:
I was really excited about trying this new product from Ouidad. I received this product to try and review from Ouidad. For a while, I had to wrap my mind around a “styling cream”. I didn’t know what to use it with or how to use it and what styles it would be best with it. I have typically used creams for just moisturizing or as a leave-in conditioner. So, it took me a couple of tries to make sure I was using this product correctly. My first attempt, I used it with another gel styler. My first impression was that it wasn’t moisturizing at all. Well, I assumed that it was moisturizing because it was a cream but that wasn’t what it was intended for. I experienced a lot of white flakes while using it this way. I think it was because of the gel I paired it with and the fact that my hair lacked moisture. I continued trying the styling cream with other products: leave-in conditioner and then moisturizing cream. Both of these worked perfectly. My curls were very defined. I personally wish it had more hold than it does. It does claim not to have a heavy hold but a soft hold, so it depends on your preference. This product is perfect for wash-and-gos and softer protective styles

Ratings and Comments:
I would recommend this product but would caution what you pair with this product. It doesn’t pair well with everything and can cause white flakes. Nevertheless, a decent product that gives you a soft hold and definition.

I give this product a 4 out of 5.
