Philosophy Purity Facial Cleanser
How it claims to work:
philosophy: purity is natural. we come into this world with all the right instincts. we are innocent and, therefore, perceive things as they should be, rather than how they are. our conscience is clear, our hands clean and the world at large is truly beautiful. it is at this time we feel most blessed. to begin feeling young again, we must begin with the most basic step of all, the daily ritual of cleansing. Purity was my first high-end face product that I purchased, so it took me a while to purchase it. I read and seen many reviews on this and heard only good things. I first tried it as a general cleanser. I do suffer from some acne, nothing too bad. From the beginning, it did a good job with somewhat helping with my acne. I did see some improvement. After awhile, I believe my skin got comfortable and it didn’t really do much for my skin. I now use it as a double cleanser. I use a cleanser especially for my acne, but I use Purity to take off any remaining makeup. I think overall it is a good cleanser, but for the price I think I would rather get a drugstore cleanser to do the job that I use it for. Although, I have had my 16 oz, for almost a year now; I used it as a daily facial wash for about 6 of those months and I am still not finished with it. In that retrospect, you get your money’s worth for the amount of cleanser. A little definitely goes a long way!
Rating and Comments:
Purity was an overall good cleanser for all skin types. It is great for a general cleanser, preferably for skin that doesn’t have special needs (acne, redness, rosacea, etc.). It is great for removing make up, or as a pre-cleanser to use before your special needs cleanser. As a cleanser alone, I think it’ll be good for someone with normal, or fairly normal skin type to really get a lot out of the product.
I give Purity 4 out of 5.
