How it claims to work:
Soften hair and improve styling manageability with this lightweight, milk leave-in treatment. 100% Extra Virgin Coconut and Shea Oils, Coconut Milk and Acacia Senegal combine in this restorative formula that rehydrates hair, detangles and acts as a barrier against heat while reducing frizz. Leaves hair wrapped in a light coastal coconut breeze. (Source:

I was super excited when I saw that SheaMoisture was introducing a new 100% Virgin Coconut Oil line. I only saw the line at CVS, which I think it is exclusively sold there. I wanted to buy the entire collection, but I wasn’t ready to spend that much on each product just yet. I purchased this leave-in detangler in hopes I found a reasonably priced detangler that I can continuously buy. My two favorites at the moment are Ouidad Advanced Climate Control Detangling Heat Spray and DevaCurl No-Comb Detangling Spray. They both make the hair manageable on contact, but they both are pretty expensive products compared to the SheaMoisture price. The first time I tried the leave-in, I could not remember if it made any big effects to my hair. Normally when that happens, I automatically don’t remember to use it the next time. If something is incredibly good, I will continuously use it each week. I found myself forcing myself to use this leave-in to be able to write a decent enough review for you guys. It wasn’t memorable at all. It was a total let down that I couldn’t really find its purpose.

Ratings and Comments:
I had high hopes for this detangler leave-in conditioner. I was kind of disappointed because I didn’t see a noticeable difference in the manageability of my hair. It really served no purpose and did nothing significant to the hair.

I give this product a 2 out of 5.
