How it claims to work:

SheaMoisture’s Raw Shea Butter Extra-Moisture Transitioning Milk for dry, damaged hair strengthens, smoothes and restores brilliant shine. Promotes healthy growth while transitioning chemically treated hair to natural healthy hair. (Source:

I first came across the product at DirtCheap. I had no idea SheaMoisture had a product for transitioners at the time. I had been at the end of my transitioning journey when I bought this product, but it was very much needed. When I decided to cut the remaining bit of my perm, I was very frustrated with the overall texture of my hair. This product really help with that. It moisturizes your different textures in ways that satisfies it completely. Most products I have used moisturizes my natural texture but really lacked adequate moisture to my remaining relaxed areas. That’s one thing this product does so well; it makes the textures manageable. I honestly believe if I had discovered this product sooner, I may have been able to withstand keeping my transitioned hair a little longer. Even now with being completely natural, I still love this product because it still moisturizes very well. For those days when my hair seems the roughest or for older hair days, I love to use this because my hair is the driest and it helps use this without the product buildup.

I am guessing this product use to be sold at Target, but may have been discontinued (hence it was at DirtCheap with Target clearance stickers on it). The recent times I ordered this product was off the SheaMoisture original website.

Ratings and Comments:
Absolutely love this product. I would totally recommend this especially for transitioners having difficulties with their hair textures. I also love it for my all natural hair state, for my drier days to re-moisturize my hair.

I give this product a 5 out of 5.
